Evertiq reported that US robotics company Formic announced $50 million in growth capital comprising a Series B and debt financing. Mercato Partners led the equity round and S2G Investments provided debt. The company said the financing would strengthen robotics and AI capabilities as it moved beyond task-specific automation. Planned applications included metal fabrication, with activity in aerospace, defense, medical and energy industries. Mercato Partners managing director Ryan Sanders was joining the board, according to the report. The combined amount should not be described as a $50 million equity round; separate component amounts were not established.
