ID Finance announced €545 million in combined debt and equity financing to expand Plazo, its Spanish consumer-finance application. The Barcelona-headquartered company did not disclose the proportions of debt and equity, so the total should not be treated as an all-equity venture round. Investors involved included Spice Expeditions, WashU, Kingsway Capital and i80 Group. Plazo combines payments, shopping rewards and short-term borrowing in one application and has also entered buy-now-pay-later services. The company said financing would broaden the product suite as it seeks a larger role in Spain’s consumer-credit market. Co-founder Alexander Dunaev described the investment as backing for Plazo’s credit model and customer experience. He said Plazo tripled its portfolio in 2025 and reached profitability, attributing that development to AI-supported underwriting and product execution. Those operating results were statements from the company. The report described the transaction as one of Spain’s larger fintech financings in recent years but supplied no valuation, named series stage or detailed allocation of proceeds between individual products.
