Plinto raised €2.9 million from People Ventures and Emblem to develop its financial-transaction monitoring platform. Founded in early 2025 by Jakob Nielsen, Nermina Suljevic and Sebastian Rehnby, the Copenhagen startup builds AI agents that investigate and help correct transaction errors. The platform connects enterprise-resource-planning software with documents, banking systems and communication tools including Slack and Microsoft Teams. Agents compare transactions with contracts, budgets and internal policies, collect evidence and investigate discrepancies. They can contact suppliers regarding incorrect invoices, request credit notes and prepare corrections for approval. Plinto addresses the limitations of spot checks and month-end reviews in businesses with large transaction volumes. It reported paying customers and pilots across logistics, real estate, facility services and food production. In one customer area, agents reportedly identified approximately 430 discrepancies each month; that figure was a company-reported example rather than an independently established average. Financing will support product development, growth among enterprise customers and initial expansion into international markets.
