QuantrolOx announced a €12 million Series A led by IW Capital, with participation from the European Innovation Council Fund and Transpose Capital. The Finland-headquartered company originated as a University of Oxford spinout and develops software that automates quantum-computer tuning and control. Its tools are intended to work across multiple quantum-hardware architectures, addressing a practical bottleneck in operating quantum systems. The company cited research in which its machine-learning approach tuned quantum devices in less than 70 minutes and exceeded the best human benchmark. Founders include chief executive Vishal Chatrath, a former Nokia executive; Oxford professor Andrew Briggs; researcher Natalia Ares; and chief product officer Dominic Lennon. Existing backers include Hoxton Ventures and Arm co-founder Hermann Hauser. The new financing will support faster commercial development and work in the United States. Chatrath described the business as developing both operating tools and training foundations for the quantum industry, with the investment intended to advance the practical use of quantum computing.
