Rulen, previously called LexSA, raised €1.8 million in its first financing round. VC Partners led the investment, joined by Growth Engine, AME Ventures, Zest through Magic Mind, Alpha Venture and industry business angels. Launched at the end of 2025, the Italian company develops an AI operating platform for tax and accounting professionals. It integrates existing software and external systems, including the Italian Revenue Agency’s online taxpayer records, to automate data collection, review and document production. Professional oversight and verification remain part of the workflow. Customers include law and tax firms, specialist practices, groups consolidating professional services and multinational businesses. The funding announcement accompanied the change of name from LexSA to Rulen, reflecting a shift from research assistance toward executing complete workflows. Chief executive Simone Hong and technology chief Claudio Cama described plans for additional system integrations and execution-focused agents. Proceeds will accelerate product development and commercial growth, including hiring in sales, marketing and product roles and recruitment of tax specialists.
