Bullhound principal Callum Stewart will join the board. Salience develops optical circuit-switching chips intended to improve connections between GPUs in AI data centres. Its integrated all-optical architecture targets networks spanning thousands of processors across multiple racks. The company recently demonstrated a 64-port photonic switch at ECOC 2026 and is developing 128-port and 256-port products. It described the demonstration as an industry first for silicon-photonics-based optical circuit switching. Manufacturing collaborations include Keysight Technologies and Tower Semiconductor. Proceeds will support commercial deployment, high-volume manufacturing and next-generation product development, with additional engineering hires. The company also plans another West Coast location to expand its Silicon Valley presence and intends to enter further geographic markets. The announcement did not disclose a valuation.
