Marton Csokas and Jemima Kirke joined Woody Allen’s new feature, with filming scheduled to begin in Madrid on October 5, Variety reported. The English-language contemporary comedy was written and directed by Allen. Jakob Oftebro, Peter Vives and Alexi Wasser were also attached to star. Principal photography was planned for the city and surrounding region of Madrid, making the project Allen’s third Spanish production after Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Rifkin’s Festival. Madrid company Wanda Vision was producing with Allen’s Gravier Productions and 3SIX9 Studios. The creative team included cinematographer José Luis Alcaine, costume designer Sonia Grande and production designer Alain Bainée. WestEnd Films had acquired worldwide sales responsibilities and planned to introduce the project to international buyers at the American Film Market. Variety noted that the arrangement continued an existing relationship between WestEnd and Gravier. WestEnd had handled international sales for Coup de Chance and also represented a library of 25 Allen films, including Midnight in Paris, Match Point and Blue Jasmine.
